We’re a day late, but what a way to open with some nerdly love for comics and reading!
Mini-me got to go down to the Friendly Local Comic Book Shop (LCBS) on May 2 for Free Comic Book Day (now Comic Giveaway Day I guess) and got his very own first book!
He’s only got about 10 letters down for now, so he enjoys the pictures and mom/dad reading to him instead. Picked up a variety of free and not so free kids/teen/adult books as well.
Reading widely is fundamental. The freedom to read tests ideas, expands vocabulary, thought, and makes the most complex parts of the world more accessible.
While we didn’t do much in the way of Star Wars, I have to get controversial out of the gate: Star Trek is superior. Apples to Pineapples, I know.
